Swab Ambassadors play a major role in our mission to teach people about stem cell donation, help patients find life-saving matches and recruit more diverse donors. All it takes is a few hours of your time each month, but it can make a huge difference.
Swab Drives Committee
The Swab Drives Committee plays a vital role in organizing, coordinating, and promoting our on and off-campus Swab drives. This committee ensures that every drive runs smoothly, from the logistical planning to the outreach efforts needed to engage the community. Members of this team work on the front lines of recruitment, actively reaching out to potential donors and encouraging them to join the stem cell registry.
If you are passionate about proactive recruitment, enjoy interacting with people, and want to make a meaningful impact by swabbing new donors, this is the perfect committee for you! You'll help save lives by growing the registry and bringing awareness to the importance of stem cell donation.
Swab Talks Committee
Swab Talks are how we get the word out about stem cell donation and, hopefully, recruit more diverse donors. Many people haven’t joined the donor registry simply because they don’t know about it. These lively conferences, either held in person or online, are an opportunity for our ambassadors to explain the process, answer any questions and get young people pumped about saving lives.
If you like to do community outreach and organize events, or if you’re looking for a way to practise your public speaking skills, this is the committee for you.
